DVD Upscalers

A story I wrote last year has appeared in the paper and online today.

Given that TV sales have been rising as many Australians rush to replace their old-tech CRT TVs with new, high-definition LCDs and plasmas we're now moving to an era where our investment in DVDs is coming into question. Will our DVDs be displayed at their best?

However, unless you're planning to replace your entire collection you might want to consider a cheaper option to get the most from your new TV.

You can read the full story online at The Age in the Digital Life section.

Incidentally, i ended up buying the Sony unit in the review (at full retail price some weeks after the review was submitted).
