The solution is simple. On the router you want to use as an access point do three things on the router that will be an access point. 1) Disable DHCP on the soon-to-be access point. (every router supports this for LAN's using static IP's) 2) Set the LAN IP address of the router to something that doesn’t conflict with the other router. 3) Connect the LAN port of your now access point to the LAN port of your router. Crossover cable may be required. Done! The wired machines and wireless clients on either router will see each other with the one router providing DHCP to all client as the broadcast domain spans both devices.
The solution is simple. On the router you want to use as an access point do three things on the router that will be an access point.
