Photoshop for Free - sort of

The folks at Adobe have just opened up a public beta of their new Photoshop Express service. Basically, they're offer a software-as-a-service version of Photoshop Lite over the web.

The web site blurb says:

Upload, sort, polish, and store up to 2GB of photos. All for free. Resize, tint, distort, and more — add your mark to all your images. Then show them off on Adobe® Photoshop® Express or your Facebook page.

You'll need to create a Photoshop Express ID (no charge) and then you can start storing and editing to your heart's content. The downside - for some goofy reason it's only open to residents of the USA. However, i had no problem creating an account and just pretending I'm an American (after 10 years of John Howard you'll let me off seeing as we were the 51st state).

I'll have a decent play in a week or so (when I've finished writing an essay I'm working on) and let you know how what I think.
