I've been running The PDA Guy at its own domain for a few years now. It's where I shoot the breeze about those funky little devices that nerds hid in their pockets.

Today, PDAs are everywhere - restaurants, parking inspectors, boardrooms. Today, they're called smartphones and everyone's got one. I'll tell you what's hot, what's new and give you lowdown on what's coming.

Windows Mobile apps dev update

From the Windows Mobile Team Blog:

If you'd missed it ... Visual Studio 2008 Beta 2 Professional was made available for download last Friday. The marketing blurb about it is below. Note : if you already have the Windows Mobile 6 SDK or SDK Refresh installed, you'll need to re-install it after you're done with installing the VIsual Studio 2008 Beta 2.

One of the greatest advantages the WIndows Mobile platform has over the iPhone is its rich application environment making it significantly more flexible for customers.

The toolkit can be downloaded from here.
