I've been running The PDA Guy at its own domain for a few years now. It's where I shoot the breeze about those funky little devices that nerds hid in their pockets.

Today, PDAs are everywhere - restaurants, parking inspectors, boardrooms. Today, they're called smartphones and everyone's got one. I'll tell you what's hot, what's new and give you lowdown on what's coming.

Palm Desktop for Vista finally released

Palm LogoIt's hard to believe that it took this long but it seems that Palm has finally released Palm Desktop for Vista. It's been in beta for ages but it's now officially available.

Is it just me or do you find this a tad ludicrous? Vista was released on 3 November 2006 so it's taken Palm over a year to finalise the release. Given that Vista was in widely available beta what seemed to be an eternity before that I'm gob smacked. Perhaps so much energy was put into the ill-fated Foleo that they just never got around to it.

You can download it from this link.
