Got a current iPAQ, want WM 6.1 - too bad
Continuing their tradition of not offering even minor OS upgrades to Windows Mobile users, the story comes from Brighthand that current, in-store iPAQs will not be getting an update from Windows Mobile 6 to version 6.1.
From Brighthand:
This decision comes after having evaluated the potential for delays in firmware and software updates, device recertification, and carry-over costs to our customers that are often associated with an operating system upgrade.
Well - that sucks but I guess it's not surprising. You'd think that a company the size of HP could do this but it seems that it's all too hard.
